PA Interview Prep

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 27, 2026

PA Interview Prep ("the app," "we," "us") helps physician assistant (PA) school applicants practice spoken mock interviews. We built this app to be private by default. This policy explains, in plain terms, what the app does and does not do with your information.

The short version.

1. Information the app handles

Stays on your device (on-device mode)

By default the app runs entirely on your device. Your interview sessions, transcripts, scores, any audio recordings you choose to keep, essays, signature stories, your school/application tracker, and your settings are stored locally on your phone only. We cannot see this data, and it is not transmitted off your device. Deleting items in the app, or uninstalling the app, removes this data.

Sent off your device (only in optional Cloud mode)

Cloud mode is a setting you turn on yourself. While it is on:

We do not collect location, contacts, photos, calendar, messages, financial or health data, web-browsing history, or installed-app lists.

2. How the data is used

On-device data (sessions, recordings, notes, etc.)App functionalityNo one — stays on your device

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

3. Your OpenAI API key (if you provide one)

If you enter your own OpenAI API key, it is stored securely on your device (in the platform's secure storage) and is used only to make requests to OpenAI on your behalf. It is not sent to our servers and is not included in backups.

4. Data retention and deletion

Data on your device is retained until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app, which removes it. We hold no account and no personal data on our servers — only an anonymous usage count tied to the random device identifier, used for the free-tier limit. Because there is no account, there is nothing personal for us to delete; resetting or reinstalling the app generates a new anonymous identifier.

5. Security

All network requests the app makes (to our server and to OpenAI) use encrypted HTTPS connections.

6. Children

The app is intended for adults applying to graduate (PA) programs and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Third-party services

When you use Cloud mode, data is processed by OpenAI; see OpenAI's privacy policy at openai.com/policies/privacy-policy. Our server infrastructure is hosted on Cloudflare. We use no advertising networks and no third-party analytics SDKs.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, note them in the app or on this page.
